I'm Anna Landt, a wife to a wonderful husband and a mother of three beautiful little girls! I grew up in a small town located in Northern Iowa. I went to college in Nebraska and recieved a Bachelor of Arts in World Missions. My family and I now reside in Omaha, Nebraska and absolutely love it!
Where it all began:
As someone who genuinely loves being around people, I grew up knowing one day I would be devoting my life and work to supporting people in any way possible. As years went on, my passion for serving people was more refined into a love for serving women as they entered into one of the most exciting, vulnerable and sometimes intimidating moments in their life...pregnancy and childbirth. One of my personal attributes is encouragement; and I knew immediately that this was a place where that very attribute could come in handy!
Much of my journey to becoming a doula stems from my personal life of bearing children. In 2011, I found out I was pregnant with our first....but weeks later I endured loss as I experienced a miscarriage. Never in my life had I experienced such pain and heartache, but it was with the love and support of others that my husband and I were able to pick ourselves back up and try again.
Fast-forward to 2012, the arrival of our first daughter, then another year later, the arrival of our second daughter, and THEN about 3 and a half years later the crazy arrival of our third daughter... I had just experienced this tough, painful thing called childbirth. But at the same time, I felt empowered and full of life! After the birth of our first, I was affirmed in my love for this profession and began my pursuit it... Months later, I received my training and started in on becoming a doula and owner of Oh Baby Birth Services! Being a doula is fulfilling for me because I have the chance to be a beacon of light, encouragement and support to a mother and her family during the journey that is pregnancy and childbirth. I thrive on being invested into the lives of mothers and their partners during this process and it a joy to be serving in this way!
